Teak Decks

A classic teak deck with butt joints, an endless appearing deck with finger joints, or a curved deck with king planks and nibs – anything is possible. We work closely with designers and owners to achieve the best possible result for each yacht. Additional specialty work such as interior outfitting, pool covers, stairs, special trim, deck house cladding, ladder ways, and cap rails are also available.

We offer varnish work and custom designed stainless steel and brass elements as well. Today’s steel ships do not need structural strip planked teak decks. They need engineered designs with flexibility between the steel and teak. We fair the steel decks with epoxy and then insulate the steel from the teak with stud welded/epoxy set Lloyds approved marine plywood. This is a superior system which provides climate stability, an impenetrable water barrier, and an excellent adhesion surface for our fastenless teak deck panels.

The panels are manufactured with a special vacuum process based on laser generated drawings and templates to ensure every altered detail or deviation will be noticed. With our experience, even panels measuring up to 24 meters in length can be vacuum installed onboard in a single piece.  Immediately upon installation, Teak Solutions decks are smooth, not wavy, have no hollows or voids, and require minimal sanding and detailing prior to commissioning. The vacuum process makes a Teak Solutions’ deck unique and guarantees maximum durability.
